Forest Bathing + Yoga Nature Immersion: 5/31/25

Please join Kris Olson and Julie Jansen on May 31 from 3:00pm-6:00pm for Forest Bathing + Yoga Nature Immersion at Hoyt Arboretum!

This offering will invite us into our senses, unwind our bodies, and nourish our whole selves. Spend time in the forest to slow down and notice the bounty of the late Spring season.  Observe what is blooming in the natural world, along with what is blooming inside of you.

Kris will lead a 20-minute gentle yoga practice before our forest bathing walk. Yoga will prepare us for the walk and open us for the experience to come.

Then, step into the rhythms of nature as Julie guides us in a forest bathing experience. Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku.  This practice allows us to slow down while connecting with our senses, with community, and with ourselves.  Julie will offer several invitations to help us sink into the natural world. Together we’ll drink in the Springtime life that exists all around us, and inside of us.

Our time together will end with meditation, yoga, and a poetry reading shared by Kris.  Then we will enjoy delicious snacks and a special herbal tea that Julie makes from plants she lovingly and sustainably gathers from the forest.

We are offering this 3-hour experience by sliding scale:
